The Marker Offers menu allow to :

  • capture every month the offers from the competitions per product family
  • compute churn factors analyzing the variations of the relative position of the operator's per tier inside the product family

Capture the market offers

While navigating to MARKET > Market Offers, the user access to the Market Offers grid.

The market offer grid allow to edit a comparison table :

  • Column : offer from the competitors, defining the related Product Family, the competitor, the offer's name and if it is a "best seller" in the given product family
  • Row : Product features per RGU, Prices and Offer Tier

Product features

The product features are defined into Settings > RGU reference as the list of main features for each Revenue Generative Unit (RGU).

In each cell (feature x offer), the user can edit the value of each feature, accordingly to the measurable unit (time, GB, speed, etc.)

If the feature is required for market offer comparison, as defined into RGU Reference, and not filled, the cell is displayed with a yellow background.

Prices

The grid allow to capture 3 levels of retail prices (including VAT) per month :

  • Above the Line (ATL) - regular price : the public offer price, with commitment and commitment period
  • Above the Line (ATL) - promotion price : the public offer price including promotion for the first months, with commitment and commitment period and promotion period.
  • Below the Line (BTL) price : the re-engagement/up selling/cross selling price, if known

Offer Tier

The Offer Tier is a segmentation of the market offers by price ranges of the ATL Promotion price or ATL regular price (if the ATL Promotion price is not filled).

The number of Offer Tiers and the segmentation of the Tier for each offer are computed automatically per Product Family using the distribution of prices across the different offers with a maximum price bandwidth of 10€.

Using the Market Offer Grid

Every month, the user can edit many times the market offer grid to update the current relative position with the competitors.

The market offer grid is created from the grid as updated the previous month, if existing.

Edit an offer

To update the Market Offer grid, click on the edit button to turn the grid into Edition mode. Each modification leads automatically to save the updates and recompute the Tier segmentation.

To complete the edition / turn into Read Only mode, please press the done button.

Note : As any change in Tier would affect the churn cluster discovery. The user would launch a churn cluster discovery processing. See the related article about launching the churn cluster discovery processing.

Add a new offer

Press the add button, to add a new market offer to the grid. The required fields are displayed with a yellow background.

Remove an offer

Press the delete button, to remove the market offer from the grid.

Sorting the offers

In the top panel, you can change the sorting order of the market offers by :

  • Product Family from A-Z
  • Provider / Competitor from A-Z
  • Offer Tier from 1 to N

Filtering the offers

In the top panel, you can click the filter button to display the filter panel to apply onto the list of the market offers :

  • Product Family
  • Provider name
  • Best selling offers, only
  • Offer Tier

Market position churn factors

The Market Offer grid is used by the Cluster discovery to compute relative position of each Marketing Product/Subscription within the market offers associated to the same Tier of the Product Family (see Data Reference) :

  • Relative market position percentile : The relative market position as the retail price centile (revenue MRC + VAT as defined in Product Family Reference) in the prices of the related market offer tier
  • Relative market position percentile change : Change in percentiles of the relative market position with the average position on the last 3 months. The relative market position is defined as the retail price centile (revenue MRC + VAT as defined in Product Family Reference) in the prices of the related market offer tier
  • Best sellers relative market position percentile : The relative market position as the retail price centile (revenue MRC + VAT as defined in Product Family Reference) in the prices of the related market offer tier on the best sellers only
  • Best sellers relative market position percentile change : Change in percentiles of the relative market position with the average position on the last 3 months. The relative market position is defined as the retail price centile (revenue MRC + VAT as defined in Product Family Reference) in the prices of the related market offer tier on the best sellers only
